Geek Out Freak Out
This weekend was my geek out freak out. It started Saturday with a night of Guitar Hero III. I don’ t have it yet, but my buddy bought it as well as two wireless guitar controllers. We played until our hands were so sore we had to stop (and had gotten so drunk we started to suck.)
Then we watched a few episodes of the Adult swim cartoon Metalocalypse. Here is how the show is broken down on Wikipedia: Metalocalypse follows the exploits of the part-American/part-Scandinavian death metal band Dethklok. They enjoy a popularity level unheard of in reality, ranking just above Belgium as the twelfth largest economy on Earth. They are so popular that impressionable fans will often do anything their songs tell them, even if it means death, which is usually the case. Here is a clip from the episode Birthdayface all about bassist’s birthday.
My weekend was supposed to conclude with a trip to see Batman at the Imax. Unfortunately, the theater was experiencing technical difficulties and after 45 minutes of trying to figure it out they canceled it. The movie had started at one point but they couldn’t get the sound to work. I can say I will defiantly go back to see it on Imax. Even without sound the first few minutes looked amazing.
